Some lucky Rotary Club members and friends were invited to tour San Francisco Chinatown by Chef Martin Yan, of "Yan Can Cook".
He had a very special insight of Chinatown with a view of the changing landscape ... especially after the covid years of 2020-21 ... the stores that didn't make it ... to newer stores backed by bigger companies to the newer Boba and dessert shops designed to attract younger visitors. Yes, Chinatown Grant Ave still depends on tourist, but Stockton Street is a shoppers delight for fresh fish, meat, fruits and vegetables ... and some exotic delicacies. Be brave and walk into some of the stores.
