Here we are again ... on CA Costal Cleanup day. Many SF Rotarians decide to participate in the SF DPW Love Our City - Beautification of District 4. We are Team 2 assigned to plant Trees. Where are the trees??? ......
Well ... we got into our van and were dropped off on Noriega and Lower Great Hwy. Where are the trees? "go up and across the Great Hwy and your DPW truck will be waiting there for you .... Well, no trees. Only shovels ! Our assignment is to remove the sand on the pedestrian promenade! Yes, we put our backs into the manual labor. I am sure that the locals enjoying the Great Highway see all these people in orange vests ... shoveling SAND back onto the beach and are probably wondering ... "how many traffic tickets did they each get?" not to worry, mother nature always wins and the sand will be back on the promenade by the time you read this ... but we tired to Love our city and neighborhood beautification of District 4
